How about this Weather?

Good Morning,
I hope everyone is staying warm in this extremely cold weather!  The students have not had the chance to go outside lately and are feelings a little couped up.  It is very important that they come to school dressed accordingly.  Winter hats, gloves, and coats are much appreciated in weather like this.  Please make sure your child leaves home with these items.

Our 3rd/4th grade play will be taking off this next week.  The students will start practicing for the big event.  I am so excited, this should be another great production!

Also, midterms when home Wednesday so please sign and return them as soon as possible.

Science Fair projects are due Monday.  Presentations to the class will begin on Monday the 28th.  Please remind your child to bring their boards and information to school.  Their research papers are not due until Wednesday the 2nd.  We have been working on these in class.  Your child should have an outline as to what is needed in the report and also a rubric for the grading process.  If you have any questions please contact me.

I have had a lot of students out sick lately so if absent work is needed and you are able to pick it up or I can send it home with another student, please let me know.  I am more than happy to get this ready for you so your child can get a jump start on their work.

Remind your child to keep reading A.R. this quarter.  Mrs. Kangas' reading class has set their own goals.  Mrs. Staffileno's class is up to 15 points and my class is at 20 points.  If your child is in my reading class, I sent home a break down of the 20 points that are needed with a list of books and quizzes they have taken so far this quarter with their midterm.  February was "I Love To Read" month and we did a bunch of fun activities.  Thanks for the support at home with reading and returning the monthly reading logs.  The students are going great!

I hope everyone is having a great year so far.  Please feel free to stop in, call or email me if you have any questions or concerns.  My door is always open.

Have a wonderful day!
Mrs. McMorris
