·      No School September 24^th!!!

·      Tuesday  Folders will go home September 25^th, please sign and return them September 26^th.

·      MAPS testing will be held this week.

·      Midterms will come home on Thursday, September 27^th.

 

Spelling Words:              

No Spelling words this week

        Our class will be working on handwriting this week due to no school on Monday.  On short weeks there will be no spelling words.

Reading Class  - AR required points for 1st quarter is 10 point. 

This week in Reading our class will be continuing our Flat Stanley novel, Stanley Flat, Again!  While reading this we will be working on answering comprehension questions in complete sentences, synonyms, sequencing, predictions, the concept of friendship, antonyms, and homonyms.    This week we have also started a neat art project involving story elements!  The students are greatly enjoying it!

Math Class       

Due to MAPS testing there will be no Math class this week.  We will however be completing some projects in our homeroom that will involve math skills that we have been working on in our math class.

 Science

 We are now studying the solar system!!! There will be no unit test for this concept.  The students create an amazing flip book instead for their unit grade.  It is so much fun!
