Reading Class  - AR required points for 1st quarter is 10 point. 

This week in Reading our class will be starting a Flat Stanley novel, Stanley Flat, Again!  While reading this we will be working on answering comprehension questions in complete sentences, synonyms, sequencing, predictions, and the concept of friendship.  

Math Class                                 

My Math class is learning all about base ten and place value.  Here are some things we will be focusing on:

ü Place Value to the 10,000

ü Rounding to the nearest 10, 100, and 1,000

ü Greater than, less than, and equal to

ü Expanded form and Standard form of numbers

ü Writing and Reading numbers in the 10,000 range

Science

We will be finishing up constructing our volcanoes this week.  The class will get to explode their volcanoes on Tuesday, September 11^th.  Then, we will start studying the water cycle.  No test this week, just fun hands-on projects.
