Reading Class  - AR required points for 2nd quarter is 15 point. (5 of the 15 points have to be non-fiction.) 

This week in Reading our class will be starting the novel Sara Plain and Tall.  We will be working on higher level comprehension questions/answers and really focusing on story elements.

Math Class       

My Math class is learning all about 2 and 3 digit subtraction with regrouping.  We are also working on subtracting money.  Everyday we will be recalling our 1 digit addition and subtraction facts quickly with a 4 minute fact timing.  The students will be rewarded for passing each timing.

 

Science

 This week we will be learning about the layers of Earth, rocks, weathering, and erosion.   I will send home a study guide for the first test on Thursday the 29^th.  This study guide should have everything your child will need to know for the test.  The test will be Thursday, December 6th.
