Reading Class  - AR required points for 2nd quarter is 15 point. (5 of the 15 points have to be non-fiction.) 

This week in Reading our class will continue working on the novel Sara Plain and Tall.  We will be working on higher level comprehension questions/answers and really focusing on story elements.

Math Class       

My Math class is learning all about 2 and 3 digit subtraction with regrouping.  We are also working on subtracting money.  Everyday we will be recalling our 1 digit addition and subtraction facts quickly with a 4 minute fact timing.  The students will be rewarded for passing each timing.

Science

 This week we will be learning about the layers of Earth, rocks, weathering, and erosion.   A study guide went home last week for the test on Tuesday the 4^th.  The rest of the week we will be building volcanoes to explode to investigate how are Earth can change rapidly.
