This week in Reading our class will be practicing for the CRT testing in March.  This is the first time the third graders have taken these tests so it is beneficial to get them familiar with the format before administering the tests.

Math Class

My Math class is learning all about fractions and equal parts.

Flash cards for multiplication will still be coming home to review nightly.  This review is for a grade.  Please sign the parent sheet each night after reviewing the facts.  Every day the students will be taking a timing on their multiplication facts.  Each time a level is passed the students will be able to add toppings to their ice cream sundays.  At the end of the timing period, we will be celebrating their success by creating ice cream sundays and enjoying them in class.

Social Studies

This week in social studies the class will be learning all about communities and their role in the community.  We will be discussing why we have laws and who enforces the laws, what is found in a community, and what resources we have in our community.
