4th Quarter Midterm

Spelling Words:              

No spelling this week due to a shorten week.  We will be focusing on cursive handwriting.

Reading Class  - AR required points for 4th quarter is 20 point.

20 points this quarter for AR points in any genera.  If your child earns 20 points this quarter they will be able to participate in the AR pizza party at the end of the quarter.  If they go above 20 points and earn 25 then they also receive a pop at the party.

This week in Reading our class will be working on the nonfiction novel, Butterfly Battle.  We will be focusing on a number of different skills such as: Subject/Predicate, Narrative Writing, Compound words, Nouns, Verbs, Adjectives, Adverbs, and persuasive writing.  During the course of this novel we will also be writing a research paper.  This novel is packed with many skills.  We will be learning a lot!

 

Math Class       

My math class this week will be working on finishing up our customary measurement unit.  We will be starting the metric system next.

Social Studies

 This week in social studies the class will continue learning all about their community.  We will finish the web quest about the History of Billings.
