Spelling Words:   No Spelling on short weeks.

       

Reading Class  - AR required points for 1st quarter is 10 point. 

This week in Reading our class will be finishing the Flat Stanley novel, Stanley Flat, Again!The class has worked very hard on the following concepts: answering comprehension questions in complete sentences, synonyms, sequencing, predictions, and the concept of friendship, along with character traits and character goals.  

 

Math Class 

My Math class is learning all about base ten and place value.  Here are somethings we will be focusing on:

ü Place Value to the 10,000

ü Rounding

ü Greater than, less than, and equal to

ü Expanded form and Standard form of numbers

ü Writing and Reading numbers in the 10,000 range

 

Science

This week the class will continue to learn about the water cycle and its elements. There is will an open book test on Wednesday or Thursday.  A study guide was sent home last Tuesday
