ZOO day is here!

October 14th - October 16^th   

·      Tuesday  Folders will go home October 15^th , please sign and return them Wednesday, October 16^th .

·      ZOO day Wednesday, October 16^th.  Buses will leave at 8:30 and return at 12:30.  Bring a sack lunch or order one from the school before Tuesday, October 15^th.

·      Early Out Wednesday, October 16^th.

·      NO SCHOOL Thursday and Friday, October 17^th and 18^th.

 

Spelling Words:

No spelling this week due to shorten week.    

 

Reading Class  - AR required points for 1st quarter is 10 point. 

This week in Reading our class will continue reading the novel, Lumber Camp Library.  The class will be working on higher level thinking questions, story elements, DOL, and special plurals (nouns).

 

Math Class 

My Math class is learning all about estimation and regrouping in addition.  Here are some things we will be focusing on:

·       3 –digit Regrouping with subtraction

·       2 minute Timings on  single digit addition and subtraction facts

Science

Ø Mrs. Staffileno’s homeroom: I will be teaching your child about Earth Science for the next six weeks.  This week we will be learning about the layers of Earth, rocks, weathering, and erosion.

Ø Mrs. McMorris’ homeroom will be in Mr. Leintz’s science class for the next 6 weeks learning about physical science.
