Reading Class - AR required points for 2nd quarter is 12
point.
For the next few weeks in Reading my class
will start the novel, Sarah Plain and Tall. The class will be working on verbs. This will include verb tenses (past, present,
future), linking verbs, irregular verbs, special verb “be”, and helping verbs. We will also be studying synonyms, antonyms,
homonyms, and similes. Comprehension
questions will also be a consistent task with this novel.
Math Class
My Math class is focusing on missing addends
and multistep step story problems.

Science
Ø Mr.
Lientz homeroom: I will be teaching your child about Earth Science for the next
6 weeks. This week the class will be learning
about landforms, layers of the Earth, rocks/fossils, weathering, and erosion. Your
child will be receiving a study guide for their test that is tentatively
scheduled for Thursday, December
5th. The study guides will be coming
home Tuesday, December 26th.
Ø Mrs.
McMorris’ homeroom will be in Mrs. Staffileno’s science class for the next few
weeks learning about Life science.
