2nd quarter ends on January 23rd.

January 13th – January 17th    

·      Tuesday folders will go home on the 14th, please return them on the 15th.

·      MAPS Testing will be on Monday, January 14th.

·      Early out Wednesday, January 15th.

·      SPOT presentation Friday, January 17th.

Reading Class  - AR required points for 2nd quarter is 12 point. 

This week in reading our class will be working on adjectives and adverbs.  We will also be starting the novel Who was Marco Polo?  We will be concentrating on nonfiction novels for the next few months.

 

Math Class 

My Math class this week is focusing on multiplication.  We will also start our timings for Rocket Math.

·       Arrays for multiplication

·       Timings (Rocket Math)

·       Multiplication facts with factors of 0,1,2, 3, and 4

·       Flash cards will start to come home every night to practice.  Please sign the parent signature sheet so your child can receive credit for homework.

 

Science

Ø Mr. Lientz homeroom: I will have your child for Earth Science for one more week.  This week the class will continue to learn about our solar system, the moon, and the phases of the moon. Your child received a study guide on Friday, January 3rd for their test that is tentatively scheduled  for Thursday, January 16th. 

Ø Mrs. McMorris’ homeroom will be in Mrs. Staffileno’s science class for the next few weeks learning about Life science.
