Spelling Words:  

No spelling this week due to short week.

 

Reading Class  - AR required points for 3rd quarter is 20 point.

·       5 points = nonfiction

·       15 points = fiction

This week in reading our class will be working on unit 11 in our English books.  This unit contains: subject pronouns, object pronouns, possessive pronouns, and contractions.  We will also be finishing the nonfiction novel Who is Marco Polo?  We will be concentrating on nonfiction novels for the next few months.

 

Math Class 

My Math class this week is focusing on multiplication and division.

·       Timings (Rocket Math) Multiplication and Division

·       Missing Factors

·       Story problems with Multiplication and Division

·       Flash cards will start to come home every night to practice.  Please sign the parent signature sheet so your child can receive credit for homework.

 

Social Studies

I will have my homeroom for Social Studies for the next 6 weeks.  The class will be learning all about communities and the 3 branches of government.  We will be creating a community book that follows the standards for this subject.  We will also be studying the history of Billings during this time.
