·      Tuesday Folders will go home on Tuesday, September 30^th.  Please sign and return them on Wednesday, October 1^st.

·      Field trip is on Thursday, October 2^nd.  Please remember to dress accordingly and bring a sack lunch with a drink.

·      Midterm is Friday, October 3^rd.  Midterms will go home next Friday, October 10^th.

Reading Class  - AR required points for 1st quarter is 10 point. 

  This week in Reading our class will be continuing the Flat Stanley novel, Stanley Flat, Again!  While reading this we will continue working on answering comprehension questions in complete sentences, synonyms, sequencing, predictions, and the concept of friendship, along with character traits and character goals.  

 

Math Class                                

My Math class is learning all about base ten and place value.  Here are some things we will be focusing on:

ü Place Value to the 10,000

ü Greater than, less than, and equal to

ü Expanded form and Standard form of numbers

ü Writing and Reading numbers in the 10,000 range

 

Science

This week the class will be testing on the water cycle and its elements. The test is Tuesday, September 30^th.  A study guide was sent home Friday, September 19^th.  The next concept in science will be space, planets, and the phases of the moon.
