Reading Class  - AR required points for 1st quarter is 10 point. 

This week in Reading our class will be starting the novel, Lumber Camp Library.  The class will be working on higher level thinking questions, story elements, DOL, and special plurals (nouns).

 

Math Class 

My Math class is learning all about counting equal groups and relating that skill to multiplication.  We will also be working on skip counting and problem solving.

 

Science

Ø Mr. Leintz’s homeroom: I will be teaching your child about Earth Science for the next 6 weeks.  This week the class will be learning about landforms, layers of the Earth, rocks/fossils, weathering, and erosion. Your child will be receiving a study guide for their test that is tentatively  scheduled for Tuesday, October 28th .  The study guides will be coming home Tuesday, October 23rd.

Ø Mrs. McMorris’ homeroom will be in Mrs. Staffileno’s science class for the next 6 weeks learning about Earth science.
