Reading Class  - AR required points for 2nd quarter is 15 point. 

Our class will be reading the novel The Best Christmas Ever.  During this novel the students will learn how to correctly research topics, find the main idea, and sequencing.

Math Class 

My Math class is learning all multiplication and all the different strategies used to help them with their multiplication facts.  During this unit they are required to study their multiplication flash cards nightly.  This is for credit.  Please sign your child’s flash card parent signature sheet every night and return it to school on Wednesdays along with their reading logs.

 

Science

Ø Mr. Staffileno’s homeroom: I will be teaching your child about Earth Science for the next 6 weeks.  This week the class will be learning about the layers of the Earth, types of rocks, erosion, weathering, and soil.  A study guide will be sent home Tuesday, December 9th.  The test is tentatively scheduled for Friday, December 12th.

Ø Mrs. McMorris’ homeroom will be in Mrs. Staffileno’s science class for the next 6 weeks learning about Earth science.
