Reading Class  - AR required points for 3rd quarter is 15 point. 5 points must be non-fiction. 

My Reading class is continuing their non-fiction unit.  We will be finishing the novel Who was Marco Polo this week.  We will continue to work on vocabulary skills, comprehension questions, English skills, and cause/effect for this unit.

Math Class 

My Math class is starting their unit on fractions.  They will be learning what a fraction stands for, how to represent a fraction, and how to compare fractions.  During this unit they are still required to study their multiplication and division flash cards nightly.  This is for credit.  Please sign your child’s flash card parent signature sheet every night and return it to school on Wednesdays along with their reading logs.

 

Social Studies

We will be starting our three branches of government section in Social Studies unit this week. This unit will continue for two weeks.  A study guide will be sent home Thursday, Feb. 26^th.  Their test will be Thursday, Mar. 5^th.
