Reading Class  - AR required points for 3rd quarter is 15 point. 5 points must be non-fiction.

My Reading class will continue the novel Sarah Plain and Tall.  During this novel we will be working on a number of skills which include: vocabulary skills, homophones, synonyms, antonyms, literary elements, friendly letter format, and comprehension questions.

Math Class

My Math class is working on their fraction unit.  They will be learning what a fraction stands for, how to represent a fraction, and how to compare fractions.  During this unit they are still required to study their multiplication and division flash cards nightly.  This is for credit.  Please sign your child’s flash card parent signature sheet every night and return it to school on Wednesdays along with their reading logs.

Social Studies

Mr. Leintz’s homeroom will be starting my Social Studies unit this week on communities and the three branches of government.  This unit will continue for six weeks.  The students will be studying the history of Billings this week.  We will be completing research on the Kunos for this project.  The students will also have a quiz over the different types of communities on Friday, March 27th.   A study guide will be sent home on Thursday, March 26th for their community test next week.
