Reading Class  - AR required points for 3rd quarter is 15 point. 5 points must be non-fiction. 

My Reading class is continuing their non-fiction unit.  We will be starting the novel Who was Marco Polo.  This unit also includes vocabulary skills, comprehension questions, English skills, and cause/effect.

Math Class 

My Math class is learning about division.  They will be learning all the different strategies to help them with their division facts.  During this unit they are required to study their multiplication and division flash cards nightly.  This is for credit.  Please sign your child’s flash card parent signature sheet every night and return it to school on Wednesdays along with their reading logs.

 

Social Studies

We will be starting our Social Studies unit this week on communities and the three branches of government.  This unit will continue for six weeks.  The students will have their first vocabulary quiz Friday, January 30^th.  A study guide will go home Tuesday, January 27^th.
