Reading Class  - AR required points for 1st quarter is 10 point. 

This week in Reading our class will be finishing our Flat Stanley novel, Stanley Flat, Again!  We have been working on answering comprehension questions in complete sentences, synonyms, sequencing, predictions, the concept of friendship, antonyms, and homonyms.    We will also finish our neat art project involving story elements!  The students have greatly enjoying the book!

Math Class       

My Math class is learning all about base ten and place value.  Here are some things we will be focusing on:

ü Comparing and Ordering Numbers into the 10,000

ü Least, Greatest, and Equal to

ü Using correct symbols ( <, = , > )

 

Science

 We are now studying the solar system!!! There will be no unit test for this concept.  The students create an amazing flip book instead for their unit grade.  It is so much fun!
